The botanical name of this medicinal plant is: MELIOTUS OFFICINALIS.

2-Synonyms.

Botanists call it mellilot officinal.

3-Flowering And Harvest Periods.

The flowering period is between July and September. Harvest time is in July

4-Active Substances.

Melilotus contains glycoside, coumarin, essential oil, mucilage, choline, resin, organic acids, dyes (flavon), etc.

5- The Used Part.

Dried leaves.

6-Medicinal Property.

It is recognized for its sedative, antispasmodic, diuretic, and antiseptic qualities.

7-How To Use?

It is generally used as an infusion at a rate of 15 to 20 g per liter of water.

— To relieve bronchitis: take 3 glasses per day of an infusion of 30 g of sweet clover flowers for one liter of boiling water.

— To relieve spasms and colic: drink 2 glasses per day of an infusion of 30 g of sweet clover flowers for a liter of boiling water, infused for 20 minutes.
